"Empowering young women to succeed in the construction industry"

Pasifika Women in Construction

We work closely with schools, their students and families.  The schools help us to identify the potential girls who are looking to head into a career in construction. We engage with their parents and have regular one to one check in's to address any concerns and to also ensure that we're all on track with their plans.

We host monthly workshops for these girls where they have the opportunity to network and listen to guest speakers who share their personal journeys.

We also cover skill learning which includes fun activities.  We liaise with employers to arrange site visits where the students are exposed to an array of opportunities, they can see what the various roles entail and also get a feel of what the environment is like.  Potentially, from there it creates learning-and-earning opportunities.  We then prepare them for work by linking them with any other available resources to support their transition into the workplace. This includes helping them to get their driver's
